dluscious 2012 Reel

On set in Bangkok

Here is a quick snap from set Bangkok in last month. Stay tuned for the finished commercial.

Shots Rankings "Post Production"

Just looked at Shots magazine's post production rankings and Luscious is =18th. Pretty good considering the talent that makes up the top 20.

Celcom "Nothing in your way"

Directed by Richard Gibson, I supervised this job on location and composited the job with Phillip Lange using nuke. The shoot was quite fun with access to huge machinery for the water effects. Wayne Haag.was responsible for the matte paintings and 3d projections.

AIP "Every child should dream of flying"

Directed by Marcus Hamill, this TVC for AIP (Asian Injury Prevention) was made to get a message to young people in Asia to wear motorcycle helmets. The commercial was shot on green screen on the phantom camera at 2000 frames per second. Extra elements like the glass were composited as separate passes.

NSW TOURISM "See Where it takes you"

Directed by Richard Gibson, I supervised this job on location and composited most of the shots. Awsome matte paintings(many of them invisible) were once again supplied by Wayne Haag. The 3d dragon fly and the opening shot was completed by Postmodern.

RAC "A lot of help"

A fun spot that I worked on at Luscious, directed by Damien Toogood. I colour graded the commercial using Shake and did a few invisible effect shots, like the granny getting swamped by water.

Blossom Hill "Perfect Town"

Directed by Academy Award winning director Vincent Ward, I supervised the shoot on location and completed the post with help from David Mosqueda (vfx) and Wayne Haag(matte painting).
Watch the below video for making of.

Dulux "Stranger"

This spot for Dulux paint, directed by Tina Bull was the first project that I composited using Nuke. The final shot of the commercial required a set extension, so I choose a "locked off" take and re-created the camera move using camera projections.

LG "Art Series"

A magical electronic landscape was created in After Effects combining 3d elements and 2d generated particles. I was responsible for 100% of the compositing and supervision of the 3d team.

Vodafone "liquid Freedom"

This job involved head replacement, green screen work and slight 2d warping to accentuate the talents movement. All work composited using Shake. Watch video for breakdown.

HP "Drifter"

In this commercial for HP, I supervised the shoot, and completed 50% of the total composting using After Effects and Shake.

On set.

Crestor "Scooter"

This shot is from a commercial that I supervised over in San Fransico in 2007. Talent was shot on green screen with a repeat head. I had to rotoscope the talent to remove the hands from in front of the body, these plates were then projected onto 3d geometry.

Lenovo "Castaway"

Shot off Palm beach in Sydney, I used my compositing powers to create the illustion the hero was on deserted island in the middle of nowhere. I supervised the shoot on location and completed 100% of the compositing in Shake.

Hyundai "Whole New Light"

Nice little car add for Hyundai. I supervised the shoot and composited the entire commercial. Very tight turn around, only 4 days from shoot to delivery. Used a combination of After Effects and Shake, also conformed and graded the RED footage.

Guinness "Smooth"

I created an entire 3d set in After Effects to set the stage for the hero's smooth journey. The final passes were composited together in shake. The resulting 60 second commercial is one continuous shoot, which I had to combine out of many separate passes.

Green Screen Talent Pass

After Effects 3d set creation.
